Peer Review
The American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants requires that firms issuing audit,
review or compilation reports be reviewed
periodically to ensure compliance with
professional standards.
The
review may be conducted by a committee of the
AICPA, a team organized by the local or state
organization or more commonly, by other firms
that meet the Institute’s qualifications.
